Background Information: My name is Sharlene Orlowsky and I have been teaching integrated mathematics at The Tech Center at PNW BOCES since 2002. I hold a certification from the NYSED in Mathematics 7-12. My educational credentials include a BA in Mathematics from University Wisconsin-Madison, MSW from New York University, Certificate in Education from Pace University and Certificate in Educational Technology from SUNY Stonybrook.Teaching Philosophy: Math is everywhere! Making the connection between the math skills being taught in my classroom and their real-life application is vital to keeping my students engaged in the educational process. Math skills, life skills, communication skills, personal finance skills are all part of my mission as a math teacher.
