• Good attendance is very important Cosmetology I and Cosmetology II. In order for students to obtain their cosmetology license from New York State, they must successfully complete the state mandated requirement of 1000 hours of classroom instruction. At the end of the students second year he or she must have completed 1,000 hours in order to receive an application to apply for the New York State License Exam. The Tech Center staff is aware that your child may have unplanned absents during the progression of the two year program. There are ample opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities to achieve 1000 cosmetology hours.
