    BAKING AND PASTRTY ARTS

     
    Welcome to the school wires web page for the Pastry Arts program, which is part of the Hospitality Culinary Arts program.  In Pastry Arts a student will learn how to prepare a variety of baked goods.  They will learn the basics of measurements and recipe conversions.  Students wiil learn how to prepare cookies, breads, cakes. pastries, chocolates and so much more.  Students will learn employee skills for the trade as welll as interpersonal skills for any employment.  Students  develop a bakerybusiness plan for a senior exit project, where they will design a menu.  As their final hands on assessment the will prepare, display and serve a three tier wedding cake.
